Ireland & UK receive official Android 4.0 update for Galaxy Note users

The wait for Galaxy Note users to receive the latest Android operating system is ON, as users across the globe are gradually receiving updates from their service providers to update the OS to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version. Although many unofficial efforts are being made to make it available on every possible Android device, yet users are more bent upon sticking to the official release of the same in order to avoid any software glitches.

The latest glad tidings are for the owners of Galaxy Note in Ireland and United Kingdom, where the official roll out of the latest Android firmware has been announced. The roll out will be in Air anytime soon and the new firmware version named “XXLQ2″ update will be seen on the Android devices across these two regions. The roll out of this firmware brings along many more applications that makes the device faster, stronger and much smoother to use.

The Apps premium suite which has been designed to be used specially with S-Pen is also rolled out simultaneously. The suite include those apps that improve the data management on the device, Face unlocking system and much more. These additional updates along with the Android 4.0 firmware comes as a bonus for the long wait of the users of Galaxy Note in these two regions.

However, for those who cannot be patient till they receive the firmware update message on their Galaxy note devices, there is another procedure to manually flash the firmware update. For those who want to go for this must make sure that they are aware of the serious bug involved in it. This bug tends to brick the phone when data is being wiped off by using the factory reset during the recovery process.
